AI Agile Cycle Adoption
Integrating AI into planning, development, and review without breaking rhythm.
AI Agile Cycle Adoption
We integrate AI into our agile cycle so that planning, development, and review all benefit from AI without breaking rhythm.
AI Agile Cycle Adoption
We integrate AI into our agile cycle so that planning, development, and review all benefit from AI without breaking rhythm.
Planning
AI can help with breakdowns, estimates, and dependency analysis. Humans own prioritization and scope.
Development
AI-assisted coding, tests, and docs are part of the definition of done. We track velocity and quality (see Agentic Development Metrics).
Review and retro
We use AI to summarize PRs or retros where useful; decisions and improvements remain human-driven.
Example: in a retro, someone pastes the list of “what went well / what to improve” and asks the model to group themes and suggest one or two action items. The team then chooses which to adopt—AI doesn’t set the agenda.
Example: AI in the sprint
| Ceremony / activity | AI can help with | Human owns |
|---|---|---|
| Sprint planning | Break a story into tasks, suggest dependencies | Prioritization, scope, commitment |
| Development | Draft code, tests, docs (see AI with Engineering) | Design, review, merge |
| Daily | — | Stand-up and blockers (we keep this human-only) |
| Review | Summarize PR description, suggest changelog line | Approval and release decision |
| Retro | Cluster feedback, draft themes | Actions and follow-up |
Cycle discipline
AI does not replace sprint discipline. We still commit to outcomes, reflect in retros, and adjust. AI helps us execute and reflect better; it does not replace the agile mindset.
